Taybelle PM Acorn Squash is a hybrid variety that matures earlier than other varieties. It has a good resistance to powdery mildew and is excellent for humid growing conditions. This variety is the largest of the acorns with nearly black fruit. Large yield.
 
Taybelle PM acorn squash plants are semi-bush plants that are 6–7 inches long and weigh 2–3 lbs. Harvest when the stem starts to dry out, and the skin is too hard to pierce with a fingernail. Although considered a winter squash, acorn squash belongs to the same species as all summer squashes.
 
Plant next to dill, garlic, parsley, borage, marigolds, mint, oregano, rosemary, thyme, calendula, bee balm, catnip, catmint, zinnias, and snapdragons to repel harmful pests, attract predatory insects and pollinators. Interplant with peas and beans to add nitrogen to the soil and balance pH levels. Squash provides shade to radishes and other small root vegetables. Don't grow next to potatoes or pumpkins.
