Sage

Sage

Sage, also known as Salvia officinalis, is a perennial herb popular for its medicinal and culinary uses. Planting sage near vegetables like brassicas, beans, tomatoes, carrots, and cabbage can help repel pests like cabbage loopers, carrot flies, and tomato hornworms. Sage attracts beneficial insects like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, which can help pollinate nearby plants for larger yields. It also deters harmful pests like slugs, snails, and spider mites while improving soil quality.

Herbal:  Sage has been used for centuries for its medicinal benefits. The leaves of this beautiful herb contain vitamins A, C, and K, as well as minerals such as calcium and potassium. Sage is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, helping to protect against free radicals and reduce inflammation in the body. It is commonly used to soothe sore throats and coughs, aid digestion, and improve memory and brain function. Sage is also known to have antibacterial and antifungal properties, helpful in treating various skin conditions and infections.
