Lemon balm is a fragrant herb highly valued for its medicinal properties and culinary uses. It is an excellent companion plant that can be grown alongside many vegetables, as it attracts beneficial insects like bees and butterflies. It is particularly effective when planted near brassicas such as cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers, as it deters harmful pests like aphids, ants, and cabbage worms. Lemon balm prefers a sunny location in well-drained soil and can be harvested by snipping off the top leaves and stems. It is a versatile herb that can be used fresh or dried in teas, salads, and baked goods.
 
Herbal:  Lemon balm leaves contain antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals such as vitamin C, calcium, and magnesium. Lemon balm is known to alleviate anxiety, insomnia, and depression.
