Black Beauty Zucchini

Black Beauty Zucchini

The Black Beauty Zucchini is an old heirloom zucchini from the 1920s. It is insanely prolific and will continue to produce most of the season until it most likely succumbs to environmental pressures here in the south. However, by then, you'll have frozen, canned, and given away loads of zucchinis! Best when picked around 8 inches long.

Plant next to dill, garlic, parsley, borage, marigolds, mint, oregano, rosemary, thyme, calendula, bee balm, catnip, catmint, zinnias, and snapdragons to repel harmful pests, attract predatory insects and pollinators. Interplant with peas and beans to add nitrogen to the soil and balance pH levels. Zucchini provides shade to radishes and other small root vegetables. Don't grow next to potatoes or pumpkins.

Starter will be in a 4" reusable nursery pot.
