Peppermint Swiss Chard

Peppermint Swiss Chard

Peppermint Swiss Chard is a tasty, cut-and-come-again variety suitable for harvesting as baby leaves or when fully matured. Eat raw or sautee like spinach.

Known for its strong disease tolerance and resistance to bolting, this heirloom has been around since 1857. Swiss Chard is nutrient-rich, containing vitamins A, K, and C,  as well as minerals, fiber, and protein.

Receiver of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, Peppermint Swiss Chard.

Plant Swiss Chard with tomatoes, beans, and peas. Beans also contribute to soil fertility as an added bonus for chard. Interplant with calendula, borage, marigolds, basil, onions, sage, thyme, and cilantro for natural pest deterrents. Looks lovely planted among flowering herbs and wildflowers, too.

Starter will be in a 4" reusable nursery pot.
