Oakleaf lettuce is an heirloom variety native to France and was first cultivated in 1771 by the French seed company Vilmorin from a weed that was found growing wild. In addition to culinary use, European villagers have used green oak leaf lettuce as a diuretic as it is mild and easy on the digestive system. Oakleaf lettuce has a sweet and nutty flavor and is a good source of vitamins A, C, K, and folate.
Starter will be in a 4" reusable nursery pot.
